Art Wolfe Inks Two-Book Contract with Insight Editions

Art Wolfe’s, HUMAN CANVAS, distilling three decades of photographing cultures around the world to create portraits of indigenous peoples, blending nature and body art; and NIGHT ON EARTH, a photographic study in contrasts through the daily cycles of nature, was recently signed by Raoul Goff at Insight Editions, in two-book deal, by Peter Beren at The Peter Beren Agency.

Peter Beren will be part of the Pitch-and-Learn Session at the 8th Annual San Francisco Writing 4 Change Conference, sponsored by The San Francisco Writing Conference (SWC), to be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Center, 1187 Franklin at Geary, San Francisco.

The Peter Beren Agency reports that Audio Rights to Anodea Judith, Ph.D.’s EASTERN BODY, WESTERN MIND, a guide to the psychology of the Chakra Sytem as a path to self-discovery which has over 200,000 copies in print, have been have been sold to Tantor Media, a division of Recorded Books.

Peter Beren to Appear at Writing 4 Change Conference

Peter Beren of The Peter Beren Agency will field author’s book pitches at the upcoming 8th Annual Writing for Change: Writing to Make a Difference Day-Long Conference presented by the San Francisco Writers Conference on September 10, 2016 at the Unitarian Universalist Center, 1187 Franklin At Geary, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Boyd Norton Named Recipient of 2015 Ansel Adams Award

Peter Beren Agency client, Boyd Norton, has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Sierra Club’s prestigious Ansel Adams Award. This award honors an individual who has made superlative use of still photography to further conservation causes over a lifetime.

Norton is the photographer and author of 16 books, ranging in topics from African elephants to mountain gorillas, and from Siberia’s Lake Baikal to the Serengeti ecosystem.

His newest work, Conservation Photography Handbook, is due to be published by in early 2016.
